off with her head

mum and dad got suckered in to having professional photo's taken, you know the thing, free sitting and a voucher towards your photo's, this place was so expensive and they still managed to chop off my head..... bloody hell of all the heads to chop off did it have to be mine!!!!

hanging out with zara

talking to the punk

This is a photo of me talking to the punk in NZ, mum promised she would post it on the blog, and the other photo is me cleaning Zara's highchair after she "DEMOed" it, oh my goodness how can such a cute wee thing do such damage?

coxsackie virus

mum feels like she has been tested to the ends of the earth and back again this week and all due to the coxsackie virus infection, named after the town of Coxsackie, New York, where the virus was first identified.

zara started off with a high temperature and general grumpiness, which as mothers world wide know means NO SLEEP, so she was packed up and off to the doctor to be diagnosed with sore throat and ears, no antibiotics though just home with kamol (pamol) and nuerofen. the next day mum noticed little mouth ulcers on zara's tongue and she put it down to lack of sleep and general unwellness but when the blisters got bigger and pusier, and started appearing on her feet it became very clear....

Zara Daisy has Hand FOOT and MOUTH DISEASE

now everyone is keeping a very close eye on my tongue, and Zara has been banned from the park, which is probably where she got it from in the first place..... (an example of zara's park behaviour below)

but it hasn't been all bad as you can see below, the dad's had a park outing with us on sunday, and on friday we went to caidens house for dinner and all ended up in the bath together :-) i even got to wear a pair of caiden's pj's home.

We hope you get well soon Zara, it is not very nice seeing you so miserable xx

one step two step .....

its official Zara Daisy is walking, ok she's not walking to the shops yet but she walks from A to B on her own, which considering she has no hair and still no teeth is a pretty big achievement, we'll be stepping out together before you know it!

an afternoon with caiden

"cheers" and then our eyes met across the glasses of milk....

Ready! Steady! Go!

and the winner is......

Mum needs eyes in the back of her head

took about heading for trouble, and it takes two of us to keep an eye on her, I said "mum zara is standing on my chair" and mum was like "thats nice dear" and I said "mum zara is standing on my chair" and mum said "thats nice dear" but when I finally said "MUM ZARA IS STANDING ON MY CHAIR" mum said "OH MY GOD ZARA BE CAREFUL"

picnic season

with the picnic season well and truely upon us we are all eating good food, enjoying each others company and climbing in picnic baskets, well some of us anyway, fleur calls it zara's play gym and she is pretty acurate with that description, even mention the word picnic and zara is scrambling for the picnic basket

and being a bit of a chip (excuse the pun) off the old block picnics to me is all about food, and no picnic is complete with out chips

And she's home

Word from NZ is that Nana has touched down safe and sound, hope you had a good trip nana. Life sure is quiet here without you. Miss you x

Au Revoir Nana

Nana is touching down in Christchurch NZ as we speak, its only 24 hours since she left but already London feels lonely without her :-( Say gidday to everyone back in New Zealand and send our love xx

Before Nana left she took us out to lunch, we had a special couple of hours together, she took these photo's.

A bicycle built for 2

Concert at Leeds Castle

Uncle Kev was a little hesitant about heading down to the concert at leeds castle, not quite his scene, but it wasn't long before he was taping his toes, and before you know it he was doing the can can with his arms linked through nana's.

Zara and I both stayed up all night, and fell asleep during the fireworks, it is an awesome occasion and definately worth the trip, we recommend it and will be back next year, we just hope nana will be able to come with us next year too.

thunderstorms

one final photo of the three of us..... the thunderstorm was amazing, zara wanted to get out amongst it but we were holding her back to make sure she didn't get struck by lightening

aunty dossy and maddy flew out this afternoon, we had such a fantastic week and it was really sad to say goodbye

hey thats MY bike

nana's special dinner

nana did a cooking class in france while she was over here, and on tuesday night she cooked an "amazing" 3 course meal for all of us

the preparations started the night before
two prams were required to get all the groceries home
more plates and wine glasses were required to cater for the numbers
an extra table was erected in the lounge

the end result 10 family and friends in our lounge, a spectacular meal and a family very proud of nana's accomplishments

I got up during the festivities just in time to have my photo taken

maddy and i heading out for a day in london....

....with nana

highlight of the day a visit to "Hamleys"

one of the longest escalators in london, its so long nana got time to take photo's

and coming home very very weary

but not too weary to enjoy the sights

nana has that special touch we all want to sit on her knee when she reads to us, we all love having nana with us.
