Yay Maddy's Here!!!!
She's here and so is Aunty Dossy and Nana, we have a full house at the moment, and dad is not so sure - 6 females in the house!!
not so good when it comes to watching the all blacks vs australia
we both put on our best smiles in this photo - we took this especially for grandad and aunty amy at home - wish you were here too!
Its here
Yippee the bike is here, i was so excited i just about couldn't wait, but when mum opened the box it was all in peices and she said i had to wait until dad came home. But when i was asleep she put it together as a surprise so i gobbled up my lunch and off we went to the park
and the fun didn't stop there, with all good toys come boxes and boxes just spells fun with a capital F.

with a little help from me
sumo sans nappy
it seems bath time in our house is always tom foolary time too, we both get so hyper just before bed, and no matter what i do zara thinks i'm funny ;-)
zara is also starting to think she can give me my own back and i am going to have to start watching out for her, mum loves to see the two of us mucking around, and much to dads dismay she likes us to have nappy free time too!

kiwi-ana : so i don't forget my roots
thanks punks for the parcel, zara loves her new stockings and i was very happy to get new stickers especially kiwiana stickers as cool as these
alex hit the nail on the head, he said i must be sad that dad has gone to work and that i don't get to hang out with him anymore, well it has been two and a half weeks now and i can finally say that i am getting used to it.... in the first two weeks, i didn't eat, (hunger striking) didn't bath (the smell will get them) and didn't sleep (well threatened not to sleep but always did fall asleep anyway) but all jokes aside I really did miss him, it is different here in London, dads work very long hours, and we don't get to see much of him except in the weekend, but that just makes our weekend very special, and mum has been letting me stay up later at night to see him so its not too bad. also I have enrolled in school now so in september I will be doing my own thing three mornings a week and I think everything will be OK.
here are a couple of pictures of dad zara and i taken in the days before "work"

i have this sleeping thing down pat now and as a reward for getting a month of stickers mum and dad have ordered this new bike for me. i have been practising on bikes at playgroup and know how to use the pedals and everyday i wait for the post man in case today is the day that my new bike turns up. mum has bought it on ebay but we have to wait until the funds clear!!! i am so excited!!
when it finally arrives mum will take photo's of me riding it
a 2 year olds conversation with her mother
1. picture this - mum has put me down for my lunch time sleep and she is currently at the other end of the house with zara, trying to settle her to sleep so she can have some time to
clean the house
do the dishes
hang out the washing
talk to the bank
lie on the couch and put her feet up
zara is crying and clearly not happy about being left in the cot..... and i start up on the
"mum!" "mum!" "MUM!" "MUMUMUMUMUMUMUM!" "MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!" as I progessively get louder and and screechier....
finally I can hear mum coming down the hallway, Zara is still crying in the background, but I have won this battle and mum is coming to me
"Katey.....? (puffed and out of breath) What is it?"
"Mum.... that leaf on the window is annoying me!"
2. Mum has removed the above offending leaf from the window, settled zara and is now in the kitchen doing the dishes. I am happy that the leaf has gone and contently lying in my bed looking out the window and the lovely blue london summer sky.......
"Mum"
from the kitchen "yes katey"
"I've been thinking"
coming in to the bedroom "you've been thinking? what have you been thinking about?"
"i've been thinking that the neighbours are very noisy!"
"the neighbours are noisy? why do you say that?"
bump bang stamp bong
"is that the neighbours?"
"yes dear"
"they are noisy!!"

play group
on fridays zara and i go to play group with daisy and caiden, it is my favourite day of the working week and it always comes and goes so fast. here are a couple of snaps of us all hanging out at play group
this is me caiden and daisy waiting for the singing to start, our mums all had to stand so we could sit down, but atleast we looked cute
this is a real action packed song called little bunny sleeping, we all lie on the floor while our mums sing softly in the background about little bunnies sleeping then we suddenly leap up and start hopping around the room madly like little bunnies hopping .... it is one of my favourite songs at the moment
zara gets excited about play group too because she gets to play on lots of toys too, this is daisy's mum chloe pushing zara in a big car....

friday evening was so lovely caiden and i talked our mums in to taking us out for dinner, but not before a stroll along the putney thames. no explanation required really, it was one of those fun times and we were lucky to have the camera there.
and after all that strolling we finished off at waggamamma's... as always a fab feed for all

a taste of whats to come
this is a sneak preview from our weekend, the weather was so lovely that mum really wanted a bbq.....because we left our lovely big 4 burner bbq in nz we don't actually have a bbq here in london, so mum asked dad to buy a disposable one from the supermarket.
Finally, just to make mum happy, dad relented and purchased the bbq, much to the amusement of his mother in law and no doubt all his male family and friends back in nz. Needless to say the lamb chop were finished off in the frying pan inside and the sausages in the oven, the bbq was nothing short of crap and the only good that came from it was this photo..... and a lot of smoke.
watch out for more photo's of the weekend, namely me and zara in the buckets, an afternoon at richmond by the thames and a visit from aunty kare.
