a day out
We have had one of "those" days, mum and zara have been up since 4:47am and it took nearly all day for us to get sorted before we could go out as a family and do family things.
zara is going through one of those i don't need sleep stages, and after waking at 4:47am only had two 45 minute sleeps for the whole day, and when i woke up from my sleep i was in such a foul mood that i woke zara too, which really made mum and dad's day. anyway the reason i was so foul was because i was hungry and even though i told mum and dad i didn't want to eat i really did. fortunately mum was on to it and after a tantrum or two she put my lunch in my new dora lunch box which i finally decided was pretty cool so proceeded to eat.
dora is the new flavour of the day and when we went out this avo i had to have my dora lunch box with me, when we made it to the park cafe and i got to look in my lunch box again i found a banana skin, a couple of stale bits of popcorn and an empty raisin box, totally ripped off.
well we are all tucked up in bed now, zara went to sleep like a flash and i took ages, dad has gone out with uncle kev..... he is very very lucky.... and mum is at home about to watch rumour has it (a chick flick that dad would never watch). we ended up having a wonderful day out, a walk around a new property development which is so far out of our price range it was fun to pretend, a fluffie and icecream at the park cafe, a great play at the park, and a drink and chips at the queen adelaide on the way home. you just never know what the day entails when you get up in the morning, even if it is still the middle of the night.

Thanks Aunty Derr!!!
Around the house in a couple of hours!
She follows me everywhere, up and down the steps in the hallway, and she doesn't mind going outside either.
When either of us wake up from our sleep we both get so excited to see each other, Zara squeals really loud and thrashes about, if mum is holding on to her she has to hold her very tight.
She has just learnt to clap her hands together is starting to wave which is very cute, especially when mum is trying to put her to bed and she lies there with abig smile on her face waving at her.
She is also pulling herself up on all the furniture and is starting to get brave and let go. Considering she is so small it doesn't really look right to see my wee sister standing up, but
mum assures me it is normal.
She has finally started eating solids too, but only pork casserole and apples, pears and raspberries. Wonder where she gets that fussiness from. Mum despairs!!!
All in all our days here are awesome, we are loving hanging out with each other, we are so lucky to have mum and dad at home with us. Goodness for a minute there it looked like they both might go to work but when mum asked me what i thought i made it quite clear i didn't want mum to work.
Another novelty of living in the UK, the front loader!! While mum dispairs because she always forgets to put something in and can't open the door once its started, Zara loves it, many hours are wasted by the "little one" mystified by the clothes and soap suds going round and round and round.
Welcome Milly the NZ Lamb
I am not really sure how to tell Milly but mum's groceries have just turned up (ordered online from Waitrose) and there is half a NZ lamb in there for roasting. I heard mum and dad talking about how little it is and they were wondering if there would be enough for dinner, I think I should probably hide Milly for the next couple of hours.

No park today... Or yesterday
For the last week we've talked about it and they know that I am beginning to understand but relentlessly they have walked me back to my bed over and over and over, sometimes over a dozen times a night, and always around the 3 - 4am time. I have to take my hat off to them they have not relented at all and I have not once been allowed in to their bed.
Now its getting really bad they are starting to threaten me with bribes, the last two nights they have said they won't take me to the park if I get up, but I clearly didn't believe them because I got up anyway. Needless to say they haven't taken me to the park for the last two days even though they have gone stir crazy keeping me within the confines of the house :-)
As this has gone on for over 2 years now and they are starting to get really really tired, I have decided it is time to tell you all about it so you can appreciate just exactly why my mum's crows feet are getting wider and wider. I think she is actually starting to think its time to get some "special cream" for them, so if any of you know of what works let us know!!! Better go, its way past my bed time x

Stepping out...
In the garden... London Style
Zara in to the toys
Trip to Clapham Common
It was a very hot day, so hot in fact that I NEEDED an ice cream. It was a bit mean because mum didn't get one for Zara, so we had to share.
I found these awesome shoes (thanks Kare) and believe it or not I am actually very stable in heels.
