Day at the beach

I have had my first experience at the beach, it was sooooo hot last week that mum and I took Isla and Kate and their mums down to the beach for the afternoon, it was so much fun although I am the only one that tried the sand, not sure if I liked it that much but hey you never know unless you try.

Mum took me down to the sea and I splashed around a bit, it was very cold but quite refreshing. I have posted a couple of photo's, but mum didn't really get a chance to take too many as I was all over the place and really keeping her on her toes. I didn't want to get sunburnt so mum had quite a job to keep me in the shade!!!!
If you can't find me look in the laundry, although I am most unlikely to ever do the washing. Posted by Picasa
Anyone would think mum doesn't feed me, nothing like a bit of roughage. Posted by Picasa

Holiday

Mum Dad and I have just been on a holiday around the west coast, it was a pretty quick trip and we spent lots of time in the car but we saw lots of places, had lots of walks, and took a couple of photo's. They took me to some hotsprings as well which they didn't take any photo's of but i absolutely loved it, can't wait to go to Hanmer Springs in a couple of weeks with my Michele from Sydney. Anyway better get on and do the holiday washing, the sun is shining here is Christchurch and mum and I need to make the most of it. Below is some holiday snaps taken on the west coast and some taken yesterday on the walk to Godleys Head. xxx
Yesterday was labour day so mum dad and I decided to do some labouring and went for a big walk to Godleys Head, it was so beautiful and we had a great day. This is me on the cliff above the ocean. Look how beautiful the water is. Posted by Picasa

Crawling

Oh I forgot to tell you there is no stopping me now, I can CRAWL anywhere I want to.... mum doesn't need to stratgically place toys any more because i find other things so much more exciting, laundry baskets, under tables, under highchairs, out the door, anything that isn't child friendly and I like to keep mum on her toes. Its such a good game :-)

Antenatal Class

Yesterday we had lots of babies at my house, mum forgot to take a photo so i can't show you how mad it was, but we had loads of fun. Dad blew up ten pink balloons and all the babies played with them. Not one of them popped which we were all really suprised about. Mum was sure one would pop and all the babies would start crying.

Today I went to McDonalds for the 1st time, well mum did, I just sat in the high chair and watched her and all the other mums eating. None of us babies were allowed to eat burgers. Don't worry the mums weren't eating McDonalds, they were having McCafe coffee... whatever.

Highchair

Mum and Dad finally bought me a high chair in the weekend and i can finally sit up like a real person to have my dinner, and breakfast. Its taking a bit of getting used to, the eating that is the highchair is easy, but you'll be pleased to know i had baby muesli and banana this morning for breakfast. It's all good and I am hoping she'll serve me something delicious for dinner tonight because now that i have this thing down pat it would be good to get the ball rolling. Oh I am soooo grown up now. I'll ask mum to take a photo of me in my new highchair and post it here later.

Cranky

I am really really cranky today, not sure why maybe I have a cold, or it could be that my teeth are coming, but I am just not myself. Mum hasn't skipped any breast feeds today and I haven't had my banana yet so hopefully I will be back to my usual self soon.

The skipping breast feeds didn't work anyway, i was still awake 3 times last night.

Plunket Visit

Today i had my 6 month plunket visit, i thought you might want to know my new credentials

Weight 7.54 kg (16lb9oz)
Height 65 cm
Head 44 cm

Mummy has been told not to feed me as much boob and to let me get hungry so i eat more real food, and that might help me sleep through the night, it's not going to be easy but i am sure i can do it.

My next plunket visit is on Tuesday 13th Dec and I'll be 8 months old by then

6 months later

Wow our little girl is now 6 months, its all happening so fast.... as I sit here on this cold and wintery spring day Katey is sitting in the middle of the floor surrounded by her toys. Being the eager parents we are the toys are strategically placed just out of arms reach so she has to crawl to get them, the crawling being very dainting shuffling of her knees then a final lunge for the desired toy. We are so proud!
